With just 77 examples slated for production, few people will ever see an Aston Martin One-77, let alone tour the supercar’s factory in Gaydon, Warwickshire. However, National Geographic is giving the world the chance to do just that as the One-77’s factory will be featured during this season’s Megafactories.

Set to hit the air on September 4, the hour-long show will not only detail the build process of the One-77 but also delve into the car’s three-year development process. Aston Martin began work on the One-77 in October 2007.

No film crew has even been inside the building specifically built to produce the One-77, but National Geographic was given full access. The laboratory-like building covers 1,000 square meters and contains no assembly line – each One-77 is built in a single station.

The One-77 build process takes over 2,700 man hours, so it will be interesting to see what the show can squeeze in in just 60 minutes. Of course, the entire show will be broadcast in stunning HD.
