I personally think they should go into chapter 11, and then see what happens from there. GM quality has gotten much better and they’re finally making a competitive product, they just did the right thing at the wrong time.

You had the crook president, then the war president, then the frat boy president, the war president part 2: revenge of the texas ranger (not as…hard to belive, but worst then the first one), and now you have te welfare president.
That’s why the brothers play with cotton money.
He had to get to president for you people to say “we are not racists, black people have rights too” . Voting was like a mass AA meeting.
Now Obama is afraid. He doesn´t want to do what needs doing like it has to be done because that can lead to a subconscious race war, and he also needs to get people happy, so he gives money away. To those who can trash him if he doesn´t.
And when he’s done, everyone will live on the projects.
He needs to flush on the whole auto industry smoking turd, and start to figure out what to do with all the newlly available unenployed.
give the baillout (the term itself couldn´t be more apropriate) funds to health, educacion, cience and tech, national state healthcare plan, and then, maybe, keep a small (but higlly advanced) auto industry to build your millitary, industrial, comercial and public transportation solutions.

The government never listens to the people… they have their own agenda. I haven’t seen any “change” for the better yet.

I’ve been on the fence about it, and I’m only still for more help to these companies contingent they are making real forward advancement. Even then, only to the degree actually needed.

What’s actually needed is the same thing as ever, GET THOSE BANKS LENDING!!!! If the banks had not crashed for their own stupidity, GM and CHRYSLER would have gotten that loans they needed that way and not by the “bank of last resort”, the US Government.

Some banker heads need to roll for this mess as a whole. Not just the Auto Industry in particular.

I will also say, and not lay blame on specific people, that I harbor serious resentment for Foreign commenters even pretending that they have some say in what the US Government should be doing. If you feel that strongly about it, get your sorry selves naturalized as US Citizens and vote then. Otherwise, keep that fool crap to yourself. Or should we start telling you how your government should be run in return?

Help them, managementwise, give the taxpayer back the money you blow out. they are old and clever enough to buy the products they want from the dealer they want to buy it from. thats how capitalism and a free market works, everything else is communism.
