New 2007 Saturn Outlook teaser

04/10/2006, 4:17 PM

By admin

General Motors has released another teaser of the 2007 Saturn Outlook via a number of advertisements. The image shows a front headlight and part of the grille. The automaker first released a teaser image of the crossover’s rear taillight last year. The car is based on the same architecture as the 2007 Buick Enclave. The car will be shown at the New York Auto Show, alongside the Saturn Aura, which was also previewed by a print ad. See both Outlook teasers after the jump…

Looks good, Saturn is about to see a Cadillac-style turnaround.

Wait until you see the rest of the car before you make any judgements like that, Derek.

The taillights almost look like they are from a die-cast model.

Moody,
You don’t really have to see the rest of this car to make those sort of judgements. Given Saturn’s future models based on the popular Opel/Vauxhal like the Aura and next Vue, its clear that Saturn is making a turnaround for the better.

It Looks like it’s a new version of an Isuzu Axiom. http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2004/01/17/177208.4-lg.jpg
It also looks like Optimus Prime.
This car will sell very well to the Transformers generation.
I like the car, but I still think the Saturn logo is repulsive. Can they just use the Opel logo instead?

There’s a full set of pics over at thecarconnection.com. It’s a pretty big unit, that’s for sure. The wheels look a little odd relative to the arches to me, but anything’s an improvement over the EXT Trailblazer/Envoy. I’ll be interested to see how the Enclave and the Acadia turn out.

Again, just because Saturn’s cars may look good does not mean that they will make a turn around. Look at, for instance, the Cadillac Allante, the Buick Reatta, the Camaro “Iron Duke”, the Corvette 305 “California”… Just because a car looks good doesn’t mean the entire marque will make a turnaround from disaster.
