New artist’s rendering of Audi Q3

The latest issue of Germany’s AutoBild magazine features a cover story on the Audi Q3 — a new compact SUV rumored to be under development at Audi. Recently, Audi officially announced plans to build a Q5 crossover for the 2008 model year. Essentially, this Q3 rendering looks like a two-door version of how we imagine the Q5 will look. Very cool. Reminds me a lot of Volkswagen’s Concept A, at least this rendering and this angle.

It seems as if Audi is taking the Mercedes strategy of creating a vehicle for every segment, with niche models and engine options (S, RS), too.

Id love a Q3… affordable and hopefully with a (230hp) 2.0t – it will have a decent blend of performance and size. Price it the same as the A3 and keep the weight down, and youve got a hot seller.

Missing rear doors. Will never sell in the US without rear doors.

Looks neat, but really you shouldn”t bother to show these renderings from the German car mags. They are complete speculative photochops.

Yeah, that’s VW concept A with Audi’s face photoshopped. Looks pretty interesting, but I agree with #4, this would never sell in US without rear doors and Audi knows that.

I like it. It’ll no-doubtibly be more than $40K, though.

Being a man (and having seen pictures of melon sex) I don’t have any trouble believing that the sticky business took place as described.
