knowing honda, the car’s still gonna rev to the sky. low end power’s definately not gonna be the area of the powerband that sees the most time when that v10 hits the track…

‘Shut up’, anytime you have more cylinders with the same displacement and the same basic engine design, there is going to be less torque, and it will also come in later in the powerband.

At the same time, sometimes a particular engine layout or design can have an advantage from technology

A great way to compare is by looking at the performance differences of a twin cylinder sport bike, and an inline 4 sportbike. in general, the twin has much more torque, that comes in much lower in the power band, but revs much lower and doesn’t have the peak hp of an inline 4. They used to be considered equal in racing, with each advantage of one outweighing the disadvantage to the other, but lately the twins have been allowed more displacement because of very advanced inline 4 technology to come out in the past few years.

383 lb/ft of torque is still a lot of torque. Granted, it is not available at super low RPMs like an AMG, but it is still plenty usable.

if it price as agressively as TVR it’ll be a great addition to the super car world. hopefully it’ll be a dry slump engine. I hope the design will look nice and agressive.

If its competing with the Italians, its biggest thing it needs now is low price. The performance will probably be there, but if it’s as expensive as Gallardo/F430, it won’t make it.
