New details: “Scion Fuse” due at auto show

By admin

Earlier this week, we reported that Scion would unveil a new sports coupe at the New York Auto Show in April. According to Toyota insiders cited by Edmunds, the car will be called the “Fuse.” It will also feature a chopped roof, a short nose, and turn signals in the wheels. It’s not clear if the car will be the basis for a future production model.

Turn signals in the wheels? What good is that going to do? 57% of Americans don’t use them anyway. ZING!

I wonder who will be the first with light-up spinner blinker wheels.

No, Michael, its Toyota that’s stupid. Don’t limit your scope to just the Scion label. Remember when Toyota brought us the annoying flashing third brake light a few years back? Besides, Scion is targeted to the Pokemon generation anyway…of course they’re gonna do tacky stuff.

the wheels are tilting, why not call attention to them? I mean, they’re big and flashy metal, especially on scion tc’s… I think it’s a good idea, but probably not cheap… I’d like to see that reach production. Turn signals mess with clean headlight design too often.
