I learned this the hard way, buy getting a ticket for "obstructed view" along with a ticket for license plate bracket covering up 1/4 of Garden State on the back license plate, and speeding a bit for a total of 3 tickets. The judge and prosecutor only cared about keeping the fines and were more than willing to get rid of points. This would just give cops another ticket they could write.
