Lexus is readying a new eight-speed automatic transmission for its LS460 luxury car, set to be unveiled next week at the Detroit Motor Show, reports AutoExpress. Another high-tech feature of the new LS is its air suspension system — designed to compete with similar offerings from European rivals like Mercedes. The new LS460, which is believed to be based on the Lexus LF-Sh concept (shown right), will debut with a 370 horsepower engine. Lexus may also unveil a 450 horsepower hybrid LS later this year at New York Motor Show in April.
