Ford will be hit more by this new truck, people who buy this wouldn’t buy the Toyota and Vice Versa

I think both Toyota and GM sales will remain pretty much the same, maybe a little bump when the new models hit the lots.
I think the Toyota style will push some away, but perhaps gain others keeping them flat.
GM truck sales will probably stay flat as well. I like the new rig though. With Ford in the crapper right now they might beat GM a little with even stronger incentives.

Wait a year and there will be fire sales on these to move the metal. Back in the Springtime, Chevy and GMC dealers were offering as much as 12 thousand bucks off trucks and SUVs to make room for the new year. The same deal could be had since the American Rev started in the fall of 01. It’s tough to ween buyers away from incentives when they have gotten so used to GM giving their inventory away come springtime.

Toyota on the other hand will sell every Tundra they build with at most $1000 cash incentives come springtime.

The grilles on the new 900s are “unfortunate.” I think I like the one on the 800 better. I think most of the really cool stuff is “under the skin” though. That seems to be the way GM operates when improving a truck product.

bwahahahaaaaaaa!!!! and that is why toyota AND nissan delayed their 3/4 and 1 ton offerings… its just superiorjust because. The toyota is great for mr. suburbia to drive to his white collar job in… at least the last one was. The new one was beat into the ICU by an ungly stick.

If the GMT900 truck is going for the same cost as the previous, where are the “Classic” models priced at?

At least the Silverado is better looking than the new Tundra- what an ugly design!!
Only Toyota loyalists will purchase that amorphous beast.
I am happy GM produced such attractive replacements.

yeah the 100,000 mile warranty swayed me from the dodge over to this. but id only take the sierra, the silverado isnt too great looking
