What about the Liberty? That thing doesn’t exactly go along with the rest of the Jeep machismo reputation. It’s pretty much just a RAV4 with a few Jeep styling cues.

patriot wont hurt jeeps image, it looks like a jeep… bears a resemblence to my old cherokee…

At least the Patriot looks Jeepy. The Compass has a fat face – jowls like Wilford Brimley’s. I can see a place for the Patriot – getting all those who loved the old Cherokee’s look and aren’t into the Liberty – but the Compass smacks of pandering to a non-existent market. It’d probably make a good small Dodge SUV – after a facelift…

I agree, it is no the prettiest bird…but it is better looking in person and the ralley package looks pretty tuff, The AWD version under 20k and great gas mileage. Hey if chevy can sell the malibu Maxx(Gack) whata turd…..the JEEP is pretty cool in person.

Seriously, the IDEA isn’t wrong, it’s the badge. I seldom have complaints about the direction DCX has gone, but THIS should be a Plymouth. I know you know what I mean! Save the Jeep name for something (in their own words) “Trail Rated”.
