Foster1,

You are just pissed that I called you out for not knowing anything greater than what anyone with web access could fnid out for themselves. I agree that the car probably won't cost over $140k, and that the performance figures are very conservativen and that BMW hasn't put out anything official yet. But the fact remains that your "specialized knowledge" comes from brochures and technical newsletters, but the sad thing is that you, like almost everyone else one here, throws figures and technical info around without the faintest idea of how things work on an engineering level. Although this car is getting bashed by the z06 gt-r crowd on nurburgring times, BMW has always been able to do more with less. Go look at the e46 CSL and tell me that this new model won't be able to keep up with the supercars of today around any track...

It's 70000 GBP and converted that makes 140000 USD. I reckon it won't cross the pond just as the E46 M3 CSL didn't.

ACoats do you read what I wrote. I said was that there has not been any offical number's relased from BMW for the 0-60 time for the CSL. So how could LLN say that the 0-60 time is what there saying it is. So why don't you read it instead of what ever the fuck it is that you do. And I would venture to guess that you know nothing. All I was trying to do was add some correct information. So if you have nothing to add but bitching that you didn;'t know something then put a comment up your ass

Foster1,

Judging by your "detailed" knowledge of the new m3, I would venture a guess that you must be an engineer for the company. I mean how else could you come across such top-secret information. Oh I know, because you are either a salesman or service advisor for a dealership, and you recieved a technical bulletin on the car. Your understanding is no greater than any one person with access to the internet, and a BMW quoted time a 4.5 is probably right since the standard car is 4.6-4.7 and BMW is ALWAYS conservative with performance figures. Don't come on here talking tough unless yuo truly have a technical background and aren't just another BMW marketing douche.

BMW is on drugs with that price. A Corvette Z06 will dominate an M3 CSL in every performance category, while offering all of the creature comforts (and more) that the CSL will delete, and still weighing less, for less than half the CSL's price. Hell, for the price they're talking, you could step up to the ZR-1, still save $40k and have all the creature comforts. The ZR-1 makes the M3 CSL look like it has the performance of a Pinto by comparison.

Also not every auto maker put's higher time's on there cars. Many have clamied bull shit.

^LS1 and ANdrew I can tell that you are bolth fucking someone at LLN. Also you have no Idea of what the fuck your taking about I put a spreed on the numbers. I Don't think that you work for any auto maker LS7 so maybe you should listen or just take note to some one who does and also someone who works for BMW. I think I would know. SO your comment means shit.
AND AGAIN NO OFFICAL NUMBER FOR THE CSL YET SO HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN LLN"S NUMBER"S AND PRICING FOR A CAR THAT HAS NOT been PRICED YET!

Foster1: SHUT THE F.UCK UP. If you have done any kind of performance driving, times vary for 0-60mph runs. It depends on the tarmac condition, elevation, wind, even how much and what kind of fuel they have put in the vehicle. Not to mention driver quality. Most of the time, the car maker will UNDERSTATE numbers, so nobody's feelings are hurt when they buy one. Learn the f.ucking industry first, before you open your f.aggot mouth on here.

Hey Left Lane News Get your s**t right. First of all the Current Manual M3 hits 0-60 in 4.1 and in some testing 3.9 in the sedan. With the DCT transmission that shed's off the 0-60 time by .4 second's. I personally ran ta time of 4.4 seconds in a coupe back in April. The CSL has not been run anywere yet and no offical numbers have been relised so how do you figure that 4.5 is correct. BMW currtly under rate's the M3 at 4.6 seconds for the M3. Just like they do on all of there cars. But your 4.5 is made up of bull S**t

Cool stuff. $143k is way to high though. No more than $79k base if this is going to be sold in NA.

oh no, not another GT-R debate...

The performance really surprises me, but it has yet to sink in that even those figures seem a little tame for 470 hp.
