First off

if their would be an AMerican Autobahn which would NOT be environmentally friendly the German Autobahn was given some speed limits on strecthes of theirs because the emission levels were killing off the the trees in Germany’s famed Black Forest. ANd that’s not even counting the practical concerns.

But if these Super 500 HP autos and above Super Cars were to somehow be made Green Friendly(which I seriously doubt since to generate that kind of Horsepower your engine needs to ingest a certain amount of gas to produce that kind of power.)
Second and most importantly they’d have to be made safe via technology to go that speed without killing themselves and worse taking out innocent motorist minding their own business. But you know – the self righteousness people when they get behind the wheel anything goes!

ANyway to make an American Autobahn work Cars that could attain faster than 120MPH would need:

1.) to Eliminate the increased accident and more or less increased fatality rate that would certainly come with an AMerican Autobahn. People have’nt shown me they know how to handle going 55 to 75 MPH and some even have a hard time negotiating and making judgements driving slower than that or even standing completely still to stay out of harm’s way and not threaten the life of someone else with a total idiotic move.. My Point even though computers sometimes fail total vehicle communication would be an absolute necessity via Computers embedded to communicate with as many cars on the road as possible within the operating range of any vehicle operating on the road to avoid a collision.

This would probably include but not limited to radar, sonar, advances sensors, satellite to communicate back in real time for collision avoidance, and even computer taking over control when the driver has lost his sense and has no idea He/She is on a fatal collision course. I know many of you disagree with this as this violates your rights to kill yourself but this would be necessary to protect the larger public good if faster than 120MPH roadways are possible to do safely. The Day is quickly coming that cars will drive you to your destination so. that should take care of that. It would be great if we could all drive as fast as the famed GRX- alias the the World’s fastest car via SR 300MPH but right now its not possible,,just yet

Amen to that bro. Unfortunately driving at higher speeds on the freeway consumes more gas as well so unfortunately there’s no gas savings there. But basically if you can afford a BMW M5, Cadillac CTS-V, Mercedes Benz AMG, Audi RS4, RS6, or any other expensive has hog sedan or even sports car, then you can also afford the gas to fill it up on.

Also true in that there are plenty of open roads in the U.S where a cop isn’t more than likely to be, it’s becoming a lot more limited. Camera’s are going up everywhere, and in States like Ohio, state troopers are patrolling the freeways up in the sky in Cessnas.
