Can’t get any worse than a Volkswagon for quality/reliability/dependibility. Even Chryslers and Fords are better than V-dubs and that’s sayin somethin!

You need to get your facts straight 400, quite making up bull shit! GM builds the best braking systems in the world, that is a widely known fact even the media will back up. Sounds like you need a trip to the gym?

Is that so, 400horseSS? My dad’s diesel powered 2500HP stops faster than my brother’s E36 for cryin out loud. I don’t usually call those crappy brakes. My 2000 Sierra stops even better.

About that car. Last time I checked having a turbocharger doesn’t help when you have a vacuum assisted brake system. Dumbasses.

When test drove the Pontiac Solstice turbo, brakes were fine, the clutch needs to be investigated. The salesman could not pull out of the parking spot, called manager who did not fare much better. I managed, but had to rev high and clutch slipped. I can see when someone might jumped from 0 to 30 without trying hard and not being able to stop in front of the wall or tree.

What would engine temperature have to do with braking? I could see if Pontiac was using an aggresive pad it might need to be up to temp first, but I highly doubt they’re using Corvette caliber brakes on a car in this price range.

NHTSA looked at the Solstice and all they could find wrong were the brakes!!! Another government office with thier heads up thier asses.
