No manual trans = Not worth looking at. The list of M/T V6 combos is getting smaller and more expensive every year. What a shame

This is an update? What a joke. Exterior looks aged and the interior pieces look cheapened. Last time I sat in one of these at an auto show in Miami, I was very disappointed with the cheap feeling bits especially the steering wheel and shifter, dash pieces.

Upcoming 2011 Sonata looks much more impressive compared to this.

meh, Its uglier and is a minor difference imo, nothing special.

I would love to own one of the 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo’s, and improve the interior(maybe new leather, new air-con, etc.)

I really dont understand this trend. First the 4Runner takes a step back in design, now this. Dead serious, this looks more like the last generation Altima than the pre-updated one that’s currently out.

The interior is still ALL black. Automakers need to stay away from that as much as possible. Just so horribly ugly in nearly any color.

Regarding design, does anyone know what they’re calling the latest trend in design in which the grille area (central front fascia) notably protrudes and carries on from the hood?

Once again NMOGM has nothing but issues.

Well maybe they will be lined up out the door for a volt
BUT, Septembers numbers do not look like it is a long line for anything.

Now that the sales numbers are coming out.

Will it be defective and full of recalls? Will it rot out and suffer massive engine and transmission failure right after the warranty expires just like all other Nissan vehicles (And every other import)?

The Chevy Volt is the car that will destroy Nissan hybrid . Everyone will be lined up out the door to get into a Volt. Consider Nissan dead.

The taillights still ruin the car for me, but definitely like the update to the front end. the grill reminds me of what the upcoming Hyundai Sonata’s grill would look like if they straightened out the chrome bars

I always wonder about these refreshes. When the car is first introduced, the marketing team goes all out to talk about the great quality of materials they have now put inside the car so forget about the outgoing model’s lacklister image. . A couple years later there is always a refresh which highlights ‘higher quality of materials inside”. So actually, you WERE using some rather low quality materials originally? Drives me nuts.

Johnny, styling wise we are now we are moving toward Model Decades, not Model Years.

Audi is almost doing Model Centuries though. Their styling evloves slower than monkeys to man.

If they’re going to go through the trouble of changing it, or “refresh” as they like to call it, why don’t they make the change more noticeable? It looks the same as the 2009 model. The automobile companies have forgotten that newness sells.

nice looking car in the boring jap sedan segment. blows away the camry on handling and style. i drove the 4 cyl with the cvt. drove great, light steering and good handling.

I’m so happy that Nissan did away with a stick-shift in the Altima sedan and only offers a CVT. I mean, who the heck wants to deal with the headache and confusion of picking a gear?
