Zero emmisions my ass. Self serving pricks (SDGE).
SDG&E imports well over half of its electricity from long distances, a lot of it from Mexico.
SDG&E is struggling to meet the 20% renewable std by 2010 that each county in CA is supposed to meet.
SDG&E struggles to meet demands in peak hrs in summer and has roaming black outs.
Maybe SDG&E should shut the F up about taking on more responsibility until it can meet the present demands of SD county.

San Diego is the perfect place to beta EV cars. Very temperate and really no need for A/C most of the time, and SD is full of eco-hippies and health nuts. Over here in Westen New York this idea wouldn't work at all. Everyone here drives huge f*cking pickup trucks to and from the office, hauling absolutely nothing in the bed.

Godd stuff right there. The day that everyday commuters move to EVs is the day we turn the tables on OPEC and internalize our energy infrastructure.
