These nissans are actually going to dominate the market imo. They will come with either isuzu 7.2 inline 4 diesels, a cummins, or a mercedes diesel. I'm going to be working at the lone distributor in western Canada and concidering I work at a GM dealership that offers the medium duty line I definatly think they are going to be making up for gm short commings, also GM is looking to sell off their medium duty so their will be a market.

RaineMan, the problem is that certain people have trouble shifting while doing more important things, like chatting on the phone, eating, putting on makeup, drinking coffee, texting, etc.

I don't understand what is wrong in the world of transmissions today. They either have too many gears... 7-speed, 8-speed... CVT (infinite)... or too few like the 4-speed auto that GM can't seem to let go. 5 is good... 6 is better. Manual > auto... forget these stupid "sport-tronic" or whatever they are called. Give me a clutch over a computer any day.

I see the Dodge Sprinter vans everywhere. Wonder if Nissan will have the "manual CVT"? How stupid is that? Manual paddle shifters on a gearless automatic trans?

I guess they're hoping that this new "small van" market will really take off... what with Transit Connect being brought over and all. It'll probably be a rebadge of a european model too.
