My mid-life crisis car.

the “Fast and Furious” film franchise is for 'tards.

beatusmongous: "I think this car is absolutely beautiful and horribly ugly at the same time." That's a good way of putting it. It's a polarizing design, that's for sure.

beatus...

I am very lucky. And grateful!

I totally agree with your comments about buying your kid a car. A few years back down in Miami, a wealthy father bought his son a new M3 which he destroyed in short order by fishtailing into a telephone pole as I recall. No prob, the father went out and bought him a Z06 after that, because the dad was prosperous and wanted his son to look good.

This time, the son was street racing and blew a red light, plowing into a car that had a delayed green arrow for left hand turns. As you can guess, the driver in the turning car was killed, the guy the kid was racing got away, and the kid destroyed his second car within a year. The kid was injured but ultimately survived.

This time, the authorities went after the dad.

I think this car is absolutely beautiful and horribly ugly at the same time, and I love it. But then, I think the PT Cruiser and the Smart ForTwo look great, too. I have weird taste. I definitely wouldn't mind having one of these. I'd be able to drop my kids off at school, drive it to work, recover it from the police after the police recover it from the thief via the use of the LoJack, take it to the track and drive really fast, leave with a smile on my face and then go home and cry while I write the check for the payment... So many wonderful and terrible emotions with one single car. That would be great.

"And yes his daddy did buy him the car, don’t hate if your dad had that $$$ you’ll be getting one to,"

Yard Dog, my dad has the cash. But he won't be buying me one at all. I feel (along with my family) that a gifted purchase of this sort has a tendency to go somewhat unappreciated. Your friend may really love his new car, but if he had to fork out the cash himself, I'd be willing to be that his attitude toward the treatment of the car would be totally different. However, I'm trying to talk my dad into buying either one of these, or an Ariel Atom. He needs one last hot car to enjoy.

Thank you for your patience regarding photography. We're fixing it now... had another server issue beyond our immediate control.

Yeah, I have to agree with a couple of the posters above.... I just saw one on the road for the first time last week (it was black color) and OMG! It looks waaaaay better than the pics circulating the web. This is one of those cars you just have to see it to appreciate and marvel at iit.

The son of a customer of mine picked one up 2 weeks ago and with my SCCA Lic., I convince him to bring it out to race track this past weekend, sorry for bragging but I have rented 360 Modenas, Lambos, Turbo 911's, but I must say this thing is awesome!!! WOW, on the track it is so forgiving, unlike Lambos, and it is high tech but easy to use. I'm a gear head, and yes I do faver U.S. cars, but this is a step above the "norm", at over $100K It's not cheap, but you do get your $$$$ worth's...

I saw this bad boyz couple weeks ago, holy crap you have to see it in person to appreciated it. It's look very aggressive and super fast. The down side for this baby was if you have 100K then you are still 15K short. The nissan in my city mark sticker price for this GTR was 115K. Not a good news for Nissan.

melias: I sit here trying to uncover what deep, underlying spiritual connotation you meant for us to ponder by including the photo of the rusted out hulk in the field. Is this some sort of visual metaphor meant to illustrate just how far the state of all things automotive has come, or are you merely trying to bring things into their proper perspective by showing us something most of us could actually afford?

ive already seen 3 on the road they look incredible, especially in black with the gunmetal rims, i think they could use a pair of OEM foglights, or "driving lights" integrated into that front bumper though.

This car has flipped the performance automotive world on its ear—and with good reason. A six-banger with AWD that puts may in its category, and above, to shame if not for its keen technology, then its price.
