Why DO we have to pay destination charges? It's not like we ASKED them to SEND the car to us. It was there anyway. It's like we pay the dealer to sell us a car. I'd be willing to pay a destination charge if my car showed up on a truck at my door, but never at a dealer.

Im sure destination charges are irritating for everyone... I do see merit in these recent price increases.... The information age for car buyers has changed everything for Automakers and dealers.... Profit is not a dirty word, almost everyone needs it.... The phone companies seem to be swimming in it... and People trade phones alot more often than cars... If a customer can bring an invoice into a dealership and wants to pay that price than the dealer has a right to recoup those losses somewhere... Remember how much a bucket of popcorn costs at the movies... their profit margins must hover in the 100% range verses 3% for an actual car that has to be maintained, pre-inspected, and stored on a lot.. Plus- it keeps me in a job- and then I shop and stimulate everyone's else paycheck when I do!!

I'm pretty sure this is a misprint, but wouldn't "...going from a base price of $17,030 to $16,930..." indicate a price decrease and not a price increase? Perhaps you guys meant it the other way around in which case that makes sense.

The only thing I hate more than destination fees are dealer documentation charges (which I refuse to pay and usually the business office ends up deducting from the price). I could care less how the vehicle got to the lot, that's their problem, and to have to pay hundreds of dollars for some quasi accountant to spend 20 minutes filling out a few forms is nonsense. The only people worse for hidden charges are the phone companies.

Even while the imports raise prices, they will still enjoy higher sales while domestics lower prices, and see a decline in sales. Quality sells, and quality is what people want.

i never knew the Sentra S to actually be "popular".......
i'm sure the destination charge on the GTR is more than $575, probably closer to 800 or 900, but then again if you can afford the GTR, who cares
