Comments on: Nissan may buy closed Ford, GM plants

If I lost my job to a Ford/GM closure and the plant is reopening as a Nissan location, I would apply for a job there even if I have to quit the union.

Good for these automakers that are providing jobs to displaced employees.

The more investment that these guys from “import land” make here in our country, the more I like them. Kudos if this actually comes to fruition.

Anyone have the UAW’s take on this? Bet they’ll try to drive in a “Nissan must buy the union workers along with the plants” clause to sweeten the deal.
