Nissan has been busy revealing its updated 2011 lineup, and now the automaker has announced pricing for its face-lifted Murano crossover.

Although Nissan actually introduced the second-generation Murano just two years ago, the automaker has now given the crossover new front and rear fascias, including new head lamps and tail lamps, new 18-inch wheels and various interior refinement changes. Nissan has also added a new exterior color, Graphite Blue (featured in the images), as well as a new wood grain hue for the LE models.

New models for 2011
Also new for 2011 are two new models for the Murano line, the SV FWD and the SV AWD – bringing the total to eight models. Motivation continues to be derived from the VQ-series 3.5-liter VT which is rated at 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque, matched exclusively to an Xtronic CVT.

What makes a Murano, a Murano
Nissan believes that the most striking visual element of the revised Murano is found in its dramatic body, which the automaker claims imparts a “modern art” feel. The front fascia’s revised design is accentuated by the wide front headlights, a wide hood that sweeps into the body lines, powerful wheel arches and an aggressive stance – particularly when coupled with the available 20-inch wheels. Murano’s rear end styling features a unique rear glass shape, integrated rear roof spoiler, large redesigned rear LED taillights and dual exhaust outlets with chrome finishers.

Interior upgrades for 2011
Nissan’s interior upgrades and changes for 2011 include a new white meter color, new center stack colors and added equipment to various trim levels. The driver’s seat now comes with power lumbar support (SV), as well as a RearView Monitor (SV), 7.0-inch color monitor (SV), auto dimming rearview mirror with compass and HomeLink Universal Transceiver (SL) and a heated steering wheel (SL).

In terms of infotainment and audio, iPod connectivity is now standard across the models, while and Bluetooth hands-free system comes to the SV models and a Bose audio system with nine speakers plus dual subwoofers arrives for the SL models. Other available technology includes an advanced touch screen Nissan Navigation System with 9.3GB Music Box hard drive.

The 2011 Murano is offered in eight models (base to range-topper):

Murano S FWD $28,500 USD
Murano SV FWD $31,910 USD
Murano SL FWD $35,450 USD
Murano LE FWD $37,540 USD
Murano S AWD $30,100 USD
Murano SV AWD $33,510 USD
Murano SL AWD $37,050 USD
Murano LE AWD $39,140 USD
