The Nissan 350Z Nismo is the most performance oriented of the Z range cars and comes track-ready. Compared to the 350Z, the Nismo package makes the car more aggressive, and adds Brembo brakes with four pistons per caliber in the front and two per caliper in the back, as well as touches on the interior. The exterior of the Nismo has side skirts and a large rear deck lid spoiler.
The biggest change in 2007 was a new, more powerful, 3.5-liter V6 engine, rated at 306 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque with both the close-ratio 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmissions. The new VQ engine is made with nearly 80 percent of its major parts redesigned. The Nismo is the top range of the model offered in the 350Z lineup.
The interior has been modified for added style. The seats are red-stitched, race gauges are white, and there's a plaque that indicates the car's special-edition status.
Although power comes from the same engine found in the standard 350Z, the Nismo package includes several performance upgrades. In order to save weight, the 350Z Nismo uses super-lightweight wheels. A Nismo-tuned suspension system helps the Z handle even better and a Nismo exhaust system makes the car sound right at home on the track. A unique aero-kit finishes off the Nismo's sporty look.
