Nissan North America has announced today its pricing and model breakdown for both the 2011 Sentra and Maxima models.
2011 Nissan Maxima
For 2011 Nissan offers the Maxima in two flavors: 3.5 S and 3.5 SV, both featuring the 290 horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve VQ-series V6 engine, and both matched to the Xtronic CVT transmission.
Compared to the 2010 models, the 2011 features new rolled edge tailpipe finisher for all models, as well as the availability of two new exterior colors: Metallic Slate and Brilliant Silver. For the Sport models, Nissan now offers new smoked headlights, a new dark chrome grille and unique shiny gray interior stitching.
The 2011 Maxima 3.5 S will retail from $30,810 before destination. The high-end Maxima 3.5 SV will start at $33,530 – also not including destination charges.
2011 Nissan Sentra
Pricing and model breakdown for the Sentra is a bit more involved than the Maxima, as the Sentra comes in seven different flavors when counting trim levels and transmission choices.
Nissan’s suggested retail prices (before destination) for the 2011 Nissan Sentra:
Sentra 2.0 6MT – $15,520
Sentra 2.0 CVT – $16,700
Sentra 2.0 S CVT – $17,450
Sentra 2.0 SR CVT – $17,450
Sentra 2.0 SL CVT – $18,850
Sentra SE-R 2.5L CVT – $19,580
Sentra SE-R Spec V 2.5L 6MT – $20,080
Changes for the 2011 Sentra include the addition of a SE-R style rear spoiler for the 2.0 CVT, 2.0 S and 2.0 SL models. Also, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) is now standard on Sentra 2.0, and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS) have been added as standard equipment to the Sentra 2.0, 2.0 S and 2.0 SR.
All 2.0-powered Sentra models feature a 140 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and come with either a six-speed manual or a Continuously Variable Transmission.
Upgrading to one of the two Sentra SE-R models will replace the 2.0-liter engine with a 2.5-liter engine, good for 177 horsepower.
The range-topping model, the SE-R Spec V, comes with a 200 horsepower 2.5-liter engine, and can be had exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.
Nissan says both models should be arriving at dealers nationwide right now.
