mayer_ray_nagin, why everyone is complaining about plastic? It is like a new religion: quality of plastic. I was not offended by plastic in Aveo and we all know it not BMW. You rarely touch the plastic, it is just sits there. I don’t drive Altima or any Nissan for that matter for 20 years and I am sure that all plastics today are much better then 20-30 years ago. Morgan did not have have any plastic: it had wooden board with instrument holes drilled in and screwed to it. I had Camry with OK plastic (nobody complained about it in automotive press) but it had horrible rattle, that Toyota could not fix (including regional service rep). SInce then I learned to put stereo louder. After all you drive a car: engine, transmission, suspension, tires. Lets leave quality of plastic to interior decorator blog .

I personally consider the quality of the Uglima interior plastics to be sub-Caliber (as in Dodge Caliber). That’s pretty bad.

NoNameDenton1, this is not site for buying public. Most of us know Renault and the rest of European lineup. There are guys here posting form Europe – they may not know Altima being kissing cousin to Laguna, but looking at pictures they can deduce what’s what. One of 3 or 4 Laguna suspension settings probably dead on to our Altima. Engines are different and we loose big time.

autonut, I know the Renault you mean, but since Renault no longer sells in America, most buying public would not know, plus the engines are bit different and the suspension tuning, so it is good. olds307, the Altima is not a bad car for the money and is a pretty good drive.

I dont think the Armada and the Titan were great sellers and that is why they next ones will be Chrylsers underneath lol
As I typed that I laughed lol The Chrysler is supposed to be an improvement ?
The Altima is VERY popular and its a good move on Nissans part I ts not better than the Accord but still a helluva car
