Adorning the Nissan stand at the Detroit show in January will be the Pathfinder concept as well as an electric van concept, the Japanese automaker reports.
The Pathfinder concept will preview the look of the next-generation model, which Leftlane’s spies photographed while undergoing testing yesterday. Expected to go on sale in fall 2012, the new Pathfinder will shift from the body-on-frame configuration of the current model to a lighter unibody setup and will likely share an engine and numerous other components with the upcoming Infiniti JX35.
As for the electric van concept, Nissan says it will underscore the automaker’s leadership in zero emissions vehicles and will offer businesses and families a flexible, commodious cargo space along with a reduced C02 footprint in comparison to a normal van.
The vehicle could be an American-market of the NV200 EV van that is currently being tested by FedEx in London.
