Automakers have released their sales results for the month of November. Perhaps the most surprising marque of the month was Mercury, which saw a 27.6% increase in sales — totaling 13,204 units. The month’s biggest loser was Hummer, with a 30.5% decrease in sales.
Of the Big Six, Nissan faired the best with an overall sales increase of 6.1% at 80,683 vehicles. Ford and Toyota saw modest gains of 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively, despite about a 7% decrease for both marques’ luxury divisions — Lincoln and Lexus .

General Motors took the biggest hit — November sales were down 11.4% — with all brands reporting fewer sales. Cadillac sales fell slightly, despite CTS sales increasing by 55.1%. Of note, the Buick Enclave continued to outsell the Saturn Outlook (3,834 vs 3,340) in the month of November.

Honda increased its sales by 4.7% — spurred by a 25.2% increase in Accord sales — while Chrysler ’s sales slipped by 2%.
