Yeah, fluffer, some Japanese cars are better than some cars made elsewhere. Happy now? Or can only a nice blast of protein make you happy?

You don't get it do you dumb-ass?
So, I have to spell it out, fluffer.
I drive an Oldsmobile. That's closer to a luxury car than any Honda, even one with an "A" on the front.
Prove I'm lying about my civic. If I was going to lie, wouldn't it make more sense to lie about my income or how many sluts I've banged?

illwill: good stuff, but how about
'Tard Luxury?

GM will die also until they realize that people want cars that last long and are reliable
You sound like a little bitch lol-How can you say that waaa
Stop lying about your Civic and admit that Japanese cars are better

You didn't say that. Now doid EVERY car you saw on the roadside have a towel sticking out?

next qestion: how old?

"Hopefully" means "in a hopefull manner."

I looked hopefully at my TL, wishing it would turn into a luxury car. It didn't.

"Hamybe" you need to use your spell check. Stop using excuses for the American cars. The cars on the side of the road had towels sticking out of them, which means the car was broken down. The tow truck drivers take the owners of the POS American cars to the Honda or Toyota dealers so they can get something reliable. The owners of the American cars just leave the POS American cars on the side of the road
State Troopers don’t use the Avalon bc it doesn’t have a V8 and Avalon’s actually sell to regular people and have no need for fleet sales
I didn’t have to rent a car this time but I will rent an American car in January
Hopefully it won’t leave me stranded on the side of the road

Magnums, Tahoes and Crown Vics are tough -- that's why troopers don't drive avalons.

Here you go fluffer:
hamybe the american cars you saw at the side of the road were there because the pigs arrested them in speed traps.

"You are a idiot."

Yeah, I should really take heed to what you say.
If I were an idiot, I'd be driving an accord.
Show me one magazine that says a certain car has build quality.

Fluffer: maybe some of your State Trooper friends arrested drivers of those cars, and left their cars at the roadside?

illwill: straight truth!

seriously guys i dont believe for a second you can judge a cars quality by looking at the side of the road that is just stupid, if a car has a flat tire the whole company is rubbish, give me a break.
.
larism, edmunds just put the new cts rite up there with the g35 and bmw 335, (but i know you are looking at coupes), it was rite above the is350 and c350 but just below the others. it has an excellent interior and a really nice entertainment package too, it is definately a car to consider.

Ian -- yes, I am thinking of the 335. In a car I am simply looking for style, or that sexiness. Dependability, resale value, and all that of that is of course, important as well. I am leaning towards the Infinity, again, simply because of the style. As far as not being able to consider an american car on my list, sorry -- the Mustang, imo of course, is just not what I call sexy.....Ford: Thanks, but no thanks.

You do great job at making yourself look like a fool JJT.On the clock ? Yea right. It's funny I took a road rip on Friday and while on the road I saw nothing but american cars on the side of the road. Fords Dodges and GM vehicles. Im also in a part of the country where Fords rule but that is changing. Im seeing more and more Toyotas Acura's and Infiniti's here than American cars. The most popular american car here seems to be the Impala and the Magnum.
Of course you dont care about magazines bc they tel the truth about the Japanese cars being more reliable and having better build quality. You are a idiot anyway
I have to go to Enterprise tomorrow to rent another car and guess what they have? Japanese cars ? No , American cars? Oh yea ! I cant wait to drive a Cobalt lol

Lincoln and Mercury really surprised me. I guess it goes to show that people prefer Mercury's waterfall grille (and gorgeous model; WOW! what a looker) and Lincoln's pseudo-luxury bling to Ford's "Red, White, and Bold" three bar grille. I think Ford Corporation just cannibalizes on itself by offering such similar products by its three American brands. I guess it does well enough now to keep the corporation afloat and surviving, but it's not a good model for long term longevity and growth. I would still like to see Ford Corporation eventually redefine their brands by giving them distinct, brand specifically styled/designed products.

Yeah, sure Fluffer, characterize my PAST car purchases (or cars that I'm not going to buy) in a way that you think makes you look smarter. You're a fool. Even if I didn't know luxury, that wouldn't make an accord a luxury car.

If shaq says Yao Ming is tall, that doesn't meen he's not telling the truth.

I can type what honda calls its faux-luxury division, but I choose not to, unless i'm on the clock.

I never said I don't like navigation. I( certainly don't dislike it, although if it's not none properly, I could.

magazine, shcmagazine. I'll look at the highways. I haven't seen an early-eighties cavalier for several months, so I'm thinking most of them have died within the last year. No magazine will tell you that.

I love the automotive market!
Larsim: what 3 series are you looking at? I would assume a 335i coupe, because that would be the only 3 series to buy if you're thinking of a G37. I work for BMW and well their cars a probably in my opinion the most fun to drive. The G37 is a VERY CLOSE 2nd though. Not putting an American car on your list is kind of limiting yourself. Take a look at the Mustang GT, GT-H, GT CS. They are very fun cars to drive and well almost worth the looking at because of its Price tag.

MUJICIAN - The point I was trying to make was that as much as I don't like to admit, Nissan/Infinity cars, imo of course, look waayyyyy better than most of the american cars out there. American carmarkers, if they want to survive, need to wake up and smell the roses. I am 30 years old, am in the market for a new car, but I can not consider putting an american car on my list. Sad to say, but american cars are boooooring. I am torn between Nissan/Infinity (G37) or BMW (3 Series).

JJT, your opinion is jaded and you are an idiot who can’t even type "Acura". You can point out all the structure or grammatical errors that you want but its makes no difference to me. You also do not know luxury BC you are buying Tempos and Mazda 5's. You don’t like navigation BC you have a map and you don’t like toilets BC you shit on a pot.
Look up any real car magazine or car website (even Shady Powers) and it will show that Acura’s are reliable and "trustworthy" lol Overpriced? I don’t think so Appealing to most would be more accurate. Judging by the majority of the Acura lineup increasing I would say they appeal to more than some
The MKZ is nicely styled but Shady Powers is worthless just like your post Permanent marker
Acura has a sport technology image that is totally separate from Honda

I'm not saying this is definitely the case, but maybe pople are realizing that for the same price as a Honda with an "A" on the front, they can get a real luxury car.
Maybe "A---a" should get dedicated models, if it wants to reverse its sales slide. Maybe too many customers are asking salesmen the difference between the "MDX" and Pilot, and walking away convinced there is no difference

cb10: "too little car for that big money." Perfect way of describing japanese faux-luxury offerings.

"DMB I will not buy a car just to save some jobs GM FOrd and Chrysler needs to make a car equal to or better than the Japanese and other foreign comp then they will be considered
I hate when people buy out of patriotism Buy the best product !"

That didn't make sense, Fluffer, but Chrysler is barely above toyonda level, and in some cases, equal. Ford is mediocre (therefore well above toyonda level) and the General is kicking their asses.

Larsim: Nissan is kicking ass now; wait until the GT-R hits these shores.

Jommy8: times are hard, kias are inexpensive, but not really cheap.

tripleonefluffer: who do you see as "A---a's" competition. All hondas with more than two tires are overpriced.

Then, you go on with your retard-drool and say:

"Commodore what the hell do you know about fact You think that bc Gm imports Opels to america and give them a badge that they are good cars. You also want people to consider an american car when you havent
The Facts are that GM was down [Honda's faux-luxury division] has improved sale from last year for every model except the RL Next year the new TL and TSX roll out and things will change "A---a's" (are the best cars out now Reliable affordable and stylish. The domestics WISH that had any of those traits
If they want something to represent US sales they should use a toilet\

That post was about as accurate as it was correctly structured; in other words, not at all. Reliable, affordable and stylish? How about untrustable, overpriced and appealling to some.

mujician: american cars that compete with "A---s?" Maybe the Five Hundred taurus and the sebring.

Stat is good, but for small volume manufacturers like Kia, it is easier for them to rack up huge increase in percentage by having one model selling really well. Nonetheless, it is good to see domestic as well as the Koreans doing better. There is such thing as patriotism that the Big3 has. People still romanticize the cars of 50s, the muscles of 70s etc. and they are all American. If the Big3 improves even marginally in reliability (which is happening), people will choose them.

1115, there you go about Acura again. Stylish? Hardly. It is BLAND, but I will give you that they are not ugly at the least. Cadi and European brands are more distinctive when it comes to styling. Acura is either a dressed up Honda (I could re-badge an Acura with Honda badges and you would never know) or a failure at trying to copy BMW. Keep dreaming that "Acuras are the best cars now" when the opponents are really the Europeans. Ever wonder why BMW and MB does not sell cheap products to compete with Scion and Honda? Because they have the brand recognition and they don't have to groom the young buyers with a cheapo Civic to buy their "luxury" cars later in life.

1115, I hate to tell you this but look at the american cars that compete with the Acura's. Every one is less expensive, and if quality is not on par with Acura their right behind. O' by the way, did the MKZ or it was Zephyr at the time that just one the style award by Toyota friendly JD Power in 06' ?
In other words, I don't know what the hell your talking about, but your info is obviously wrong.

deantj, I really shouldn't comment. Homosexual? Go ahead and ride off into the sunset in your tropical red rio. Now who's homosexual? It's like the pot calling the kettle black. I guess I just hate all the negativity towards American manufacturers. Ford has started turning around, and Mullaly is doing an excellent job, but it doesn't happen overnight. We are making progress, but it is like turning around an aircraft carrier. It takes a while. Let me also remind you that our numbers have been down all year because we aren't reporting the 350,000 Taurus fleet sales we have always had in the past. Wait till next year. Ford will show increased sales year over year.

what are you on about autonut. no seems to understand that NISSAN and RENAULT have an alliance, renault owns 40% of nissan while nissan has a share in Renault. renault did not takeover nissan. the designs do not come from france especially the N.american nissan lineup, the are either designed in the san diego design studio or tokyo.
I can't see how mercury sales increased, not one model of interest there, ford needs to axe that brand and concentrate on lincoln a brand with great potential.

You are an absolute idiot 1115. The American flag is displayed because this is about US sales!!!!

It is important to note that GM actually sold 8,000 more vehicles than last October, but this year there was an extra sales day so it is actually posted as a decline on a day-by-day basis although its actually a gain on a month-to-month basis.

Also, Toy sales growth has clearly stopped. Honda will inch up more thanks to the Accord, but Acura is absolutely horrible (so again 1115, Acura is not all that great. In fact, it sucks)
