It seems with every passing day a little more light gets shed on Toyota ’s first true supercar, the Lexus LFA . On Monday we learned that Lexus will only offer two-year leases on the LFA, with Tuesday bringing us word of planned volume for the North American market.
Lexus is scheduled to produce 20 units of the LFA per month for 25 months, netting a total production run of 500 cars. The LFA will be sold in a number of global markets, leaving only 160 examples of the supercar for the North American market.

Of those 160 units, 150 are earmarked for the United States market. As Lexus will be providing tools and trained technicians to service the LFA, any Lexus dealer can sell the $350,000 coupe. However, there won’t be a dealer stock of LFAs, with every example required to be a customer order.

The remaining 10 units will be set aside for the Canadian market, according to Edmunds. Early reports suggest the LFA’s two-year lease will cost about $10,000 a month north of the border. That monthly fee will include interest, tax and insurance.

Customers will have the option to buy the LFA off-lease following the completion on the two-year lease agreement.
