Not wanting those with things to haul to be left out on all the fun, Opel today unveiled the wagon-variant of its Insignia OPC. Officially dubbed the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer OPC, the newest Insignia model is essentially the wagon version of the Insignia OPC sedan.
Because the Sports Tourer OPC shares its roots with the Isignia OPC, it also shares the car’s drivetrain. That means a 325 horsepower turbocharged 2.8L V6 hooked up to an adaptive all-wheel drive system featuring an electronic limited-slip differential. Shifting through a six-speed manual transmission, the Insignia OPC wagon can hit 62 mph in just 6.3 seconds.

The Sports Tourer’s suspension has also been beefed up to handle anything the back roads can through at it, sitting 10 mm lower than the standard car. In case the car’s 2.8L proves to be too powerful, the OPC wagon also employs Brembo brakes at all four corners.

To set the OPC model apart from lesser Tourer models, the sports wagon sports a unique body kit, 19 or 20 inch wheels and color-keyed calipers. Inside the Sports Tourer OPC features Recaro seats and sports steering wheel.

For those living in the UK, Vauxhall will also offer a version of the OPC wagon, dubbed the Insignia VXR Sports Tourer.
