The Pagani Zonda is nearing the end of its lifecycle, with the Italian automaker planning to send the aging supercar off with one more special edition. Dubbed the Pagani Tricolore, the special edition is designed as a tribute to the Italian air force.
Based on the Pagani Cinque, the Tricolore sports a semi-transparent blue paint job, leaving the carbon fiber weave underneath visible. The Tricolore also wears the red, white and green stripes of the Italian flag.
Power for the Tricolore is supplied by a 7.3L V12 engine generating 678 horsepower. The sprint from 0-62 takes just 3.4 seconds, with the reverse trip – 62-0 – taking and equally impressive 2.1 seconds.
The Pagani Zonda Cinque is already super rare with only 5 examples in existence, but the Tricolore will be even harder to come by. Pagani will produce just one example of the Tricolore, with an expected price of $1.75 million.
