I saw the car in person today, I love the front of the car but the back looks like the honda accord coupe. I was ready to order the 335i but now I have to reconsider. THe current M3 model is way better than the 2008 M3. so disappointed.

Bangle a genius? Have you ever seen his so-called masterpiece, the Fiat Coupé? The guy seems to think haphazard slashes are the solution to any styling question. His work reminds me of first year design students: too many slashes, too much detailing, too many surface changes with no regard to proportion or form. There's a reason why Giugiaro has always insisted that the best designs are always start with simplicity as a template, because it's true.

I've seen the new 3er in person. The car has many Japanese stylistic cues. The rear looks very Japanese. I'm not fond of the area around the rear tire. If you look at the pictures of this car, for some reason, the rear tires appear to be smaller than the front. It makes the car look awkward. I thought it was the picture at first, but when I saw the car in real life, it had the same optical illusion.

The "cusped" sides are a bit too much in real life. They look okay in the picture, but they bulge out too much in real life that you think it looks more like a "metal failure" than a design decision. I don't really like the car too much stylistically.

GUESS WHAT BOYS?? NEW M3 WORLD EXCLUSIVE PICS ON ROAD AND TRACK.COM. HERES THE LINK:

http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=7&article_id=3647

Now for the bad part - it looks as awkward and uninspiring as this new 3 Coupe. In this case, I must agree with Jon and let them bring back the E46 M3 - a true classic!

Chris Bangle successfully un-3'd the 3-series. And those annoying stupid runflat tires, I was all set to buy a new 3 to replace my last one, not anymore.
