Photo Gallery: Canadian International Autoshow

02/21/2008, 5:00 PM

By jonaziz

There weren’t any major world debuts or concept unveilings during the press days of the Canadian International Auto Show this week, but we still had a photographer on hand to put together a gallery for those interested. If you live in or near Toronto, it might be worth a visit this weekend.

Is that Ford Interceptor a new thing? Looks cool so obviously they’ll never build it.

TO show sucks! They charge $20 (compare to $12 in Detroit). It’s in 3 halls (compare to ONE in Detroit) and Concepts are coming a YEAR later (if coming at all). So, I go every two years, since they’re so greedy and charge $20.

doghis- It’s the Nissan Sentra Spec SE-R, I believe.

Bimmer- True. I would love to go, but Detroit is a little closer, and charges less

Does anybody know what the Mazda B2300 is there for?

For more pictures of the 2008 CIAS please take a look at some of the ones I’ve taken over the past few years. I took a LOT of pics of the Lamborghini’s :)

autonut: I’m out here on the ‘wet’ coast aka Vancouver. Our show starts March 29th. Can’t wait. I’m booking a vacation day and smuggling in a 6-pack.

I hope that the RWD car that ford is supposed to come out with in 2010-11, is the interceptor. But they’ll probably come out with another concept before them.

Hey, the Interceptor should be produced without any changes IMO. BTW, what car is that roadster painted in WHITE, with no.5 on the doors, rims a la Lambo, and with Speed Racer on the background?!?!??! It looks like a car from the 60s, 70s.

murcieme- Thanks for the pics. BTW, I agree with you that the Volvo S80 has probably one of the nicest interiors out there.

But I’m still curious, what that Mazda B2300 is doing there?

Jay – Thank you! I agree on the Volvo Interior. I daresay they’re making interiors more interesting than Audi.

About the Mazda Truck… I have no idea why is was there. I though those things were going out of production soon. And anyway, why on EARTH would they post a picture of THAT??

I think it’s there because of the Eco-energy awards… Mazda B2300 and Ford Ranger won it for their category, so maybe thats why. Just wondering, sort of strange such a little known, abysmal market share vehicle would be there.
