In June, we told you about a new special-edition version of the Mercedes SLK 55 AMG called the Black Series. It offers a 400 horsepower engine, non-retractable carbon roof, and other upgrades. DaimlerChrysler has since released new shots of the car, which can be found at our gallery of the car. [Click here for the full report and gallery].

This website really needs user registration, people llike GM Rules post in every single story about how the GM product is better even thought they are failing in the free market economy. And failing in such an economy is only their own fault.

Maybe if people would ignore ignoramuses like GMrules, the moron wouldn’t get such a kick out of all the replies he gets.

One of the coolest things about the SLK is the elegant retractable hardtop. With the SLK55 AMG you get a bargain SL that is cheaper and quicker than a regular SL500.

Now with this variant’s non retractable top you may be better off with the awesome Cayman S.

I could care less if GMrules was saying Ferrari was better than every other car…it’s still annoying.

All black. Intriguing concept. Bauhaus minimalism is great.
