Reason why I own a truck is that I actually use it for it’s intended purpose… And it’s a lil 4 banger Ranger with 130k on the stock clutch (amazes me). I wanted to go fullsize then I asked myself why? I don’t tow anything and I like getting 23mpg in my Ranger… I get sick of seeing people who buy fullsize trucks, put a lift and 35′ plus tires on them(which knocks your mpg down to around umm 9-10 overall), and they have scratch free beds! Quit using them as an image enhancer.

The Ram is the oldest of the five. The Tundra is a knock off of all three domestic full size trucks, except it’s body lines are ugly.
They have had years to copy the domestic truck market and the best they can do is this ugly monster. Yea it’s got power. Every redesigned fullsize truck that comes out has more power then everyone else. The next fully redesigned truck will have more power then what is out now. When does it stop? ridiculous especially from a company that wants people to think it is green. Green as in cash. Toyota said it themselves when they delayed putting Tundra’s on dealer lots, they wanted the GM’s trucks first so they could make sure they would compete and then went back and changed some interior bits and pieces after seeing what a great interior the GM trucks had. Again the Tundra base V-8 has less horsepower then any of the big three base V-8. The other v-8(a copy of the small block chevy, just like Nissan did with the Titan) is the expensive option engine.
The new Tundra is well built, but no better then anyone elses. When all the incentives go away agin for all big truck makers, the sales will go back down again.

Bryce: All of that, plus it’s the most recently redesigned and FAR better than the previous Tundra. I’d even daresay the thing feels nicer than the Current F-15- (oldest of the 5)

If you like Fords that’s fine… but don’t get all ****y spouting off in defense of the “undisputed” sales leader…

I own two ‘97 Ford commercial vans, each with 400,000+ trouble free miles. Purchased a new 2006 Ford van last year because I grew tired of driving the others….I cannot wear them out! Still driving all three and they run as well today as when new. 4.6 V8’s and tranny’s have never been touched. I believe the 4.6 V8 is a JDPower greatest engine pick!
