Following the untimely death of Pininfarina CEO and chairman Andrea Pininfarina last week, the future of the famed Italian design firm hung in the balance. But the still family-owned company looks like it is back on track as Pininfarina has named a new chairman.
Paolo Pininfarina, Andrea’s brother, will take over as company chairman. Pininfarina has yet to name a new CEO.

Andrea’s death couldn’t have come at a worse time for Pininfarina as the design firm is in the midst of a major restructuring operation. Hopefully the naming of a new chairman will help Pininfarina — both the company and family — move forward.
