Malcolm Bricklin has delayed for the third time his plans to import Chinese cars to the United States, according to Reuters. He now says late 2008 or early 2009 is the target timeframe for introducing Visionary Vehicles to America. Bricklin originally set a target of of January 2007 for the first sales of the cars, and later moved that date to summer of 2007. Most recently, the timeframe was pushed back to the end of 2007. Visionary Vehicles is U.S. brand name for cars made by China’s Chery Automobile that Bricklin will import. Bricklin hopes to sell 150,000 cars in the first year.
