Whole list is a joke. I agree with two cars, but rest are joke. Mazda CX-7 and Sky Red Line are the ones i agree

These are Playboy’s choices. Oh well.

So, S-60, what would be your choice for the “Al Gore Special” ? Also what the hell are criterias for that one?

The Volkswagen Eos is such a cool car.

The new Lexus has been rated LAST in recent car magazines. Not a good ride.

I dont think the AL Gore choice should be on the list. Its never close to posted MPG on the window sticker.

Just drive slow as possible and brake softly. You’ll get close to posted MPG. My volvo’s rated 21/30 and im averaging 21.2 mpg per my info message. I drive like normal. Some few speeding and etc.

Why is the Tundra even on the list? We don’t even know anything about the Tundra from other than it’s pictures and it has worst MPG than last years. Has anyone even test drove a Tundra yet? The Tundra surely isn’t bringing sexy back.

I agree with the VW Eos, CX-7 and Sky Redline. Those are all hot cars.

It’d be more useful if they rate cars on what girls really want their guys to drive. Then it’d be more in line with the context of the mag.

Playboy does not know about good cars, but they do know about good passengers
I bet when they put this in the mag they thought that nobody would notice, but thankfully LLN did

exactly GL1 i was going to say the same thing, bang for buck, dollar for dollar, corvette Z06.
i do however agree with the Eos, Sky, CX-7, and somewhat with the Z4M even. However the new silverado whoops the piss out of the Tundra, especially since chevy knows a thing or two about heavy duty models, and diesel-power, while toyota knows jack ****. The Escalade blows too. and im indifferent to the 911 Turbo, there are so many players in that vague category that its too hard to choose. And i dont even acknowledge the existence of the hybrid for obvious reasons.

Saturn Sky Red line as best roadster, HELL NO that peice of **** is nowhere near good as the MX5 let alone the Merc SLK, Cayman or Z4.

Plus the best bang for buck shouldn’t be the Shelby Gt and no way in hell the corvette. It should be the Mitsubishi Evo 9 as it is more affordable then both the mustang and corvette and way better at handling then BOTH PUT TOGETHER

S-60 . i read the article and they were comparing the GS450h to 550i, E550, M45, and A6 4.2
all GAS engines. not hybrids.
theyre not in the same category

Yeah Renton, because Playboy isn’t all about cars, if all you’re looking for are pictures go for what you mentioned, but Playboy has articles too, that’s why it’s always been more of a “Gentlemen’s magazine”. Not that I’m saying I’m much of a gentleman , so I’ll go with your choices too haha

In the next issue, will they be publishing the top ten laptops to buy for your kids in college? Possibly a political issue, where they’ll outline the ideas and ideals of politicians? Oooo. Maybe they’ll have Dr. Phil do an interview on the top ten ways to please your woman.

Please, Playboy. Stick to parangutang pie (and the occasional cartoon).

Foster — actually it is the Z4 M Coupe. Just look it up on BMW’s website

It was like that with the Z3 versions as well. ///M Coupe and ///M Roadster is how the company refers to them.

renton is right foster

for the cars, their coupe and convertable counterparts
it uses M in front of the number
Hence 5 series becomes M5 and 3 series becomes M3

however for cars that are lettered and not just merely numbered
hence Z4 or Z3 it becomes the Z4 M or Z3 M

now, its funny how you thought you knew it all, now you just made yourself look like a dip****

I think you mean Boxster, not Cayman.

As far as the Evolution IX thing. It has the GT500 beat, but not the Corvette. The looks of a car like the Evo IX also turn some people off.

These posts are hilarious. First of all, it’s Playboy’s take on what the best cars of the year are. Think of what Playboy magazine stands for, instead of trashing their picks saying “OMG blahblah car is better then that one holy crap”, remember that for years they’ve upheld a classy image in popular american culture. The Z4M is a sexy sleek car that has the curves of a woman, plus Playboy is American so obviously the best bang for buck car is going to have some nostalgic heritage, A.K.A. Caroll Shelby and his legendary Ford-Powered mustangs.

brownfv: ok, so not the classiest of cars, but the design is worthy of complement, they took a huge risk and aimed at an awkward market. of course there are nicer looking cross-overs out there but if you look at the price range for what you get with all the sport tuned goods from the Mazda6, then its a winner man. I am in no way trying to say that the CX7 is a godsend, im just trying to say that Playboy doesnt have to put down the highest price most baller vehicles on the planet on their list, simply because they are Playboy, so who cares.

I mean other than the Sky Redline and Escalade, the cars they chose aren’t really bad choices, they’re just not the best choices. You certainly can’t say they chose terrible cars here.
