Police criticize Jeremy Clarkson

02/06/2006, 10:25 AM

Scotland’s top policeman has hit out at the TopGear’s Jeremy Clarkson for “encouraging people to break the law” by focusing on fast cars and aggressive driving. He also said Clarkson should do more to emphasize road safety on his program. A BBC spokeswoman responded: “Top Gear has very stringent safety guidelines with regard to the speed with which we test drive any vehicle – whether it be on our test track or public roads. We observe these scrupulously, including adhering to speed limits and none of our presenters advocate or encourage dangerous driving.”

JC is God. So is Top Gear.
