Representing Pontiac's most powerful version of the G6 Sedan, the GXP comes standard with a 252 horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with driver shift control, sport-tuned suspension, 18' wheels, dual exhaust, a rear spoiler, and GM's StabiliTrak Dynamic Control System (DCS).
The G6 Sedan GXP has a wide variety of standard safety equipment. GM's Onstar Services, which includes AccidentAssist, crash notification, fuel station location, hands-free calling, concierge services, turn-by-turn navigation and vehicle diagnostics, is available. In addition to Onstar, the G6 Sedan GXP includes standard front and side impact air bags and standard antilock brakes.
Well appointed from the outset, the GXP offers just two optional packages: a Sun and Sound package that includes a 6-disc CD changer and a power sunroof and a GXP Preferred Package that includes items like a remote vehicle starter system, cargo nets and adjustable pedals.
