Porsche has just revealed several low-resolution sketches of the first limited edition model based on the recently-introduced 991 series 911. It is called the 911 Club Coupe and it was designed to celebrate the Porsche Club's 60th anniversary.

Based on the regular-production 911 Carrera S, the 911 Club Coupe is finished in a special color called Brewster Green that is borrowed from the German automaker's palette of so-called individual colors. The dark shade of green is also found on the Club Coupe's 20-inch wheels.

The car is fitted with several of Porsche's option packages. One of them is the Sport Design Package which includes a more aerodynamic front bumper and a spoiler mounted on the rear decklid.

Speaking of the rear decklid, under it is a 3.8-liter flat-six that has been tuned to obtain 430 horsepower, an improvement of 30 ponies over the car that the Club Coupe is based on. The modifications carried out to the engine include specific cylinder heads and a new intake.

The Club Coupe treatment extends to the interior, where the seats and the door panels are upholstered in brown Espresso leather with beige stitching. The finishing touch is a dash-mounted strip of aluminum trim that is engraved with the Club Coupe logo and the owner's name.

In honor of the 13 founding members of the Porsche Club, the automaker will only build 13 examples of the 911 Club Coupe. One of them will be shipped straight to Porsche's headquarters in Germany and the remaining 12 will be offered exclusively to Porsche Club members located in all countries that Porsche is present in with the exception of India and China.

When it goes on sale in Germany the Club Coupe will retail for €142,831, or roughly $179,000. Buyers in the United States will be asked to write out a check for $175,580.

Because demand is expected to far exceed supply, the lucky few who will be able to purchase a Club Coupe will be selected via a lottery system.

The 911 Club Coupe is scheduled to greet the public for the first time at the Porsche Museum in Germany on August 26th, 2012.
