Yesterday, we pointed you to the latest sales numbers from the major automakers, with some impressive gains by Volkswagen, Toyota, and BMW, and some disappointing results from GM and Ford, among others. One particularly interesting highlight from the flurry of numbers was the Porsche 911. Porsche sold 1,127 Porsche 911s — the most ever sold in one month in the United States in the model’s history. While some enthusiasts have questioned Porsche’s practice of evolution rather than revolution when it comes to 911 design, the strategy certainly seems to be working. We look forward to seeing how the numbers stack up one the new 911 Turbo and 911 GT3 enter the equation.

Of course the 911 sells so good! It is a wonderful car, and by far the best thing money can buy in that segment!
And I can’t stress enough how great (conservative, to some) its looks are!
