July3
Continuing our parade of updated 2009 Porsches, spy photographers have just spotted the next-generation 911 Turbo Cabriolet while out testing. As expected, the 911 Turbo Cabrio will largely follow the coupe’s new design.
That means the Cabrio version will sport all-new LED taillights, a deeper front air dam, restyled fog lights and updated LED daytime running lights.
Direct-injection is expected to be added to the drop top’s flat-six engine, which should boost horsepower by 15 to 25 horsepower while still improving overall fuel economy.

hmm about the only changes are the tail lights & bumper.
Its the Fourth of July! Let’s celebrate it redneck style with HemiRR (Jared). http://www.myspace.com/hemiroadrunner. It will definitely bring out the American in you, YEE HAW.
Can’t wait for CAFE to eat the balls off Porsche’s cars.
Love that tail, especially those taillights in combination with these exhaust pipes!
Do you guys think the new face lifted boxsters would have the direct injection engine and DSG?
======>>hemiredneck, more than likely they will get direct injection for fuel economy purposed but dsg i doubt…
I hope they have DSG in it, cuz the tiptronic S is really not great. Slow shifting, and a meager 5 gear is not coo.
No wonder Porsche has so much money. Their whole styling department could probably fit in a pre-fab portable out behind the engine shop.
WTF do people see in Porche, its ****ing sociaty, these cars have looked the same for the past few decades, and then you idiots sit up and complain about cars that actually change the industry, its fools like you who limit advancements
========>>jeibal02 technical and technological advancements under the skin has nothing to do with how a car looks. That’s why i’m so nuts over a 997Turbo, particularly. Function before form, and it STILL looks kick ass. You drive a ‘94 RWD 911Turbo then drive a 2004 996 and try to even attempt to tell me that you won’t forget about looks.
It doesn’t change it looks because a couple of things, It looks awesome [but you'd tell me that it looks the same since 1900's so let me respond now] New generations are seeing the 911 just as those that saw the first 911. It’s not the same if the people that are seeing it is not the same. Got it?
If not, there goes another thing, It’s classic and modern at the same time, classic means it doesn’t get old, but we can see that for those who can’t appreciate the classic should drive a new Ford Ka, no matter if it’s **** is new for you isn’t it. (ha-ha)
Got it know?
If not… just shut up.
====>>lol Rafa LL that’s what i’m talkin about…
Oh Snap !
Engines belong upfront or in the middle, not in the back. Dynamically the Cayman/Boxster is superior.
======>>Actually “howsmydriving”, there is no specific spot where an engine belongs. If the car has the “technicality” to make it work, then it just works. The technical advancements with the suspension, damping, etc. on any NEW 911 totally ZAPS that whole “wrong engine placement” physical theory. Now i would have backed you up if this was say, 1980.
Rafa LL—— i 100% agree with you. the 911 is a beast and a sexy one at that.
