Confirming a timeline set by a leaked product schedule for Porsche posted earlier this year, insiders have now let loose that crowds can expect to see a Clubsport version of the bargain-priced Cayman at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

The latest information comes from the now well-known forum for exotic-everything owners, Team Speed, which claims to have come across information that has been circulated internally regarding the Cayman Clubsport.

Based on the document, the car destined for Los Angeles will come sporting a 333 horsepower 3.4-liter six-cylinder, a Sport PASM suspension that sites 20 millimeters lower than the standard Cayman. In order to provide for the weight savings, which range from 162 to 184 lbs, features such as air conditioning or the stereo are optional, and interior bits have been replaced with lighter weight materials, such as aluminum doors and fabric door pulls.

The hatch has also gotten special treatment, but the optional Lexan window will only be available for Europeans due to U.S. regulations.

Cosmetically, expect lightweight 19-inch wheels, sport bucket seats, specially tuned and re-valved steering, a standard locking rear differential, a uniquely stylized front fascia, a unique rear diffuser, a larger ducktail-style rear spoiler, improved braking, unique CS livery on the sides and badging for the interior.

Europeans will also have – reportedly – exclusive access to a Track Pack, which features a partial roll cage, a safety harness and a fire extinguisher.

While not confirmed, the list of changes seem highly probable for what the Clubsport is known for representing – a stripped down “business” version of a model that is dedicated to performing exceptionally at track duty.

The enthusiast forum also suggested a base MSRP of $66,330 – and a zero-to-100 mk/h (62 mph) time of 4.6 seconds. The car is expected to be a 2012 model year car, but will first go on sale in 2011.
