Taxis come in all shapes and sizes – in the U.S. most taxi-goers expect the tried and true Crown Victoria, in Europe there are a slew of smaller offerings. But now there is a $132,600 (base price) Porsche Panamera Turbo on the loose in Hamburg, Germany.
Having to hail a ride from a stranger in a car that has been hopped in and out of by countless thousands of people is generally not the most enviable position to be in – unless of course that taxi happens to be a blisteringly fast Porsche Panamera Turbo.
Autobild TV has decided to plant some cameras in their Panamera Turbo taxi and not only offer some rides as a legitimate taxi service, but to do so with the full use of the four-door coupe’s 500 horsepower. As Autoblog pointed out, the video is sadly in German, but with the volume down it is still enjoyable to watch the reactions on peoples’ faces as their taxi jets from a dead stop to 60 miles per hour in just 4.0 seconds flat.
