Porsche recalls 128 911 GT3s

12/05/2007, 10:25 AM

By Drew Johnson

Porsche has announced the recall of 128 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS vehicles. The recall — which covers vehicles produced between September 28th, 2007 and November 9th, 2007 — is due to faulty traction control system and electronic suspension adjustment system switches.

The faulty switches can cause the traction control system to fail and the inability of the suspension to adjust at speed or manually.

Porsche having a recall? Have they ever had a recall? Well from the article it doesn’t seem that serious, and yeah lucky for them they discovered this really fast.

Serves them right. Porsche was meant to be an enthusiast car. Now it is overpriced, overweight luxocruiser that shifts for its less then enthusiastic owner and drives as well. If it would be a car it would not need traction control, balance control and rectal temperature gauge on a sport car.

Well, if they’ve had recalls before it’s the first I’m hearing of it. And a recall of only 128 vehicles must be some kinda record. It’s good that they found out this early too.

Stfu autonut, if you had driven the new porsches (which you clearly haven’t), you’d know that they are nothing of the sort

Autonut, are you a freakind dumbass? unless your stupidly biased, which i predict you are, you would realize that Porsche is in no way a luxocruiser. HOW in any way is a rollage and a 5 point racing harness luxurious? If you mean the new automatic, well they designed that ONCE AGAIN for the track, and because its proven to shift faster then the manuals. They still offer proper manuals for proper drivers. And all these aids are all adjustable, and you CAN turn the majority of them OFF. Now your going to tell me that the f430 is a luxocruiser as well because of its 5-way-traction control system?? i dont think so buddy. I have two words for you. “Top Gear”.

the big thing is there are only 128 affected models they eaisly could have not made a big deal and said nothing. Porsche sets a great example here for auto maker. take care of your customers and they will take care of you.

It’s not that often Porsche stumbles like that. I always considered their cars to be nearly bulletproof.

It would be nice to see Porsche do some “affordable” (less expensive) cars again. But Then why the devil would you actually go to college and get a worthwhile job if they didn’t?

But yeah, most Porsche’s cost 25-30% too much.

But just wait until the CORVETTE starts demanding such a premium in about 10-15 years. The C7 is suppose to start just short of $50K on the low end but maybe as much a $60K – the specs so far read like a slightly beefed up C6 Z06. Then you’ll hear some complaints.

Nobody know what the pricing of the C7 Corvette will be yet. Hell, nobody even knows what the car will even be yet (except for a few designers inside GM’s skunkworks). Price is the last thing to be determined.

But, thanks to inflation,$50k-$60k for the starting price is probably about right, considering it will be 2012 before the car comes out. 3% a year inflation adds up over time. By then, the average new car price will be about $35k-$40k anyway.

Guys, this chick can really **** and isn’t afraid to just take what she wants. High impact ****ing with this kind of enthusiasm is pretty rare in any genre. Lol about electronics lol, autonut if your so anti technology then stop using a PC and the internet you dumbass, technology is part of our lifestyle, in automotives electronics increase efficiency and safety, thats why porsche use it. The American auto industry probably think the same way as you anyway thats why I am waisting my time to correct you before you make a fool of yourself, oh wait you already have. lmao
