Porsche has traveled to the Paris Motor Show to reveal the Sport Turismo concept, a shooting brake that is based on the existing Panamera.
Up front the Sport Turismo is an evolution of the aforementioned Panamera. Â It features bigger and more sophisticated headlights, a large air vent and two rows of LED lights on each side of the bumper. Â A discreet carbon fiber lip spoiler finishes off the look.
Out back the car features a large hatchback, 911-inspired tail lamps and an air diffuser that is flanked by four chrome exhaust tips. Â The C-pillar is fitted with a small window that is reminiscent of the one found on the Cayenne and an ajustable spoiler made out of carbon fiber keeps things in check at high speeds.
The Sport Turismo is powered by a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that makes a total of 416 horsepower. Â It allows the car to cruise for up to 18 miles on electricity alone, even at speeds of up to 80 mph. Â Past that, a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that is linked to an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission kicks in.
Billed as merely a concept, the Sport Turismo will likely spawn a production car over the next couple of years.
