Bill Osborne, president of Ford of Australia, has stepped down after seven months on the job. Osborne, 48, took over the position as Ford’s Australian chief in January after a three year stint as president of Ford of Canada.
Osborne has yet to disclose what company lured him away from his position at Ford, but it has been reported that he will be taking over as CEO for an American company not involved with the auto industry.
Osborne’s departure coincides with Ford’s decision to cut 350 Australian jobs – or 15 percent of Ford’s Australian workforce, according to Automotive News — but Osborne says the two events are independent of each other.

…Probably because the ass-backwards policies of Ford of America from the past 10 years is sinking the ship? Nothing Alan Mullaly can do will fix things for another 5 years (at best)
Makes Bill Ford look like a genius for jumping ship haha
