Motorsport engineering firm Prodrive plans to use the Janaury Autosport International show to premier its unique “P2″ two-seater road car concept. At its core, the P2 uses a Subaru Impreza STi engine, transmission and four-wheel-drive system, to which Prodrive has added its own active handling system, ATD, and an engine turbo anti-lag system developed from its SWRT program, helping to give the lightweight car a predicted power to weight ratio approaching 350bhp/tonne. While there are currently no plans to put the car into production, Prodrive expects a volume output version be priced at approximately £40,000.
