dmanero – I agree the rear end is unresolved. Too plain because of the tail lights. The headlight “pattern” is interesting. Maybe the rear tail light assembly could “reflect” that pattern to some degree whihout over doing it.

A worthy car to spearhead Alfa’s return to the competitive US market. The stunning lines is as beautiful as the day when the Alfa Concept car’s sheets was drawn. Are you guys kidding? This is a better resolved car with a proud heritage unlike the ungainly Panoz. I really don’t see any kind of similarity of both cars. Finally, a true sporting brand worthy to challenge BMWs.

If the biggest difference between the concept and production is the tires and how low the car is, that can be easily fixed via modding. I’m not concerned about that at all. Besides, I’m sure Alfa will have several wheel choices and suspension choices to choose from. Here’s a few things weird the car:

1. One weird thing is the lights next to the exhaust. Why aren’t they symmetrical in color?

2. How come there’s no side blinker lights? Isn’t it US regulation to have them? I’d prefer that they have them. Imagine having to switch lanes in a two lane traffic circle. Right, I forgot, this car is a garage queen.

3. Where’s the hot and classy Alfa model shown with the concept car? That’s the biggest thing missing here:

4. The interior of this car is gonna look like crap. Alfa should team up with coach-builder-turned-car-biulder Fisker for interior work.

I compared some hi-rez photos of the concept and these pics. The production version’s body is very very close to the concept.

The big difference is the wheels/tires and stance. The concept looks like it has much bigger wheels and tires and is lower.

Beautiful car, just give us something closer to the concept in the rolling stock dept.

Which Panoz are you talking about? This car doesn’t look anywhere near a Panoz. Please post a pic of the Panoz you think it looks like, cause I can only see a slight resemblance. Here’s the Panoz car I’m talking about:

The Panoz looks like a Mazda Miata. The only thing that looks vaguely similar is the color, and the side vents. You guys who say they look the same, are like guys who think all hot girls look the same, because all of them have nice tits and ass. I encourage you to appreciate nuances.

way too panoz like, i don’t mean repeating that, but what happened to the beautiful design language established by the brera/159?

the design may look nice at first but it is seriously flawed, with those bbs wheels it shouts kit car. and for the price they’ll be charging, thats not a good thing.

I must agree with Dr M as the Concept version blew me away but I’m afraid this production version looks way too similar to the Panoz Esperante …of course I see it as a much sexier, detailed and finished version of the Panoz but still somewhat disappointed…

Nice looking car, that’s maybe going through a bit of an identity crisis – from the front and side it sort of reminds me of a Panoz Esperante, with a hint of the TVR Tuscan and from the back, a bit like a Z4.
I can’t really see why most people would want this over a Maserati 3200, considering that the all-new Maserati will probably be arriving at around the same time this one makes it to market
