One of the more visible performance brands in the current market, SRT has been revealing products at a menacing pace since Chrysler has emerged from bankruptcy – something Ralph Gilles discusses in detail in a new video.
Among the many topics covered in a new video produced by Chrysler, Gilles explains that one of the important considerations for SRT is that it stays unique – while still finding a way to hold onto the original DNA of the vehicle and brand it is being applied to. It is this approach that guides and drives the SRT mission when it sets out to modify each vehicle.

Gilles discusses how each SRT vehicle is quite unique, intended to appeal to different customers for their respective applications – but regardless of the vehicle, the CEO insists that all changes to the vehicles are done so with a definite purpose – referring to the vehicles as “purpose-built.”
The performance brand’s CEO also touched on the fact that SRT is upping performance on several rear-wheel drive models, something that is unique at the price points it is offering the SRT Charger and SRT 300. While the SRT-tweaked Jeep Grand Cherokee sports an all-wheel drive setup, it too offers unique performance at the price point.
