Nice turbo diesel v-6. 272 is ok but it isn’t at the top of the heap. Mercedes v-8 turbodiesels are much stronger with power very near or at 300hp. But the king of the hill diesel powerplant is still VW’s 5.0liter turbo V-10. This engine should spice up Ford’s sagging domestic full size suv sales.

I can actually get 22 mpg actual, that would be american gallons, in a Petrol non-supercharged sport if I drive for conservation on the highway. Set the cruise control to keep with the flow of traffic and don’t make any sudden movements and it will pull between 20 and 22 all day long.

I don’t technically like the front of this car but it looks pretty good. I love the interior of it though, really nice looking. 21 mpg isn’t great, but neither is it terrible. You have to remember usually inflate mpg some from real life driving, so it probably will be a little lower. Anyways this probably will not see the US, and if it does then in small numbers. Regulations are good, if you look at some Euro cities you will see that they are filthy with diesel cars, but the US needs to allow a few diesel models to appeal to the American market.
Anyways I love the interior but the exterior can grow on me some. Diesel good

even if they bring the diesels to America they will only last 1-2 years with our ever changing emissions. And they probably will only be available to 45 states.

The 0-60 specs are a bit off. The present TDV6 model saunters from 0-60 mph in 11.9 seconds. If the 8.6 second number is correct for the TDV8, it is only 0.4 seconds slower than the V8 petrol Rangie Sport. Plus, in real-world driving the TDV8 will blow the doors off the TDV6 and V8 petrol model and should give a good scare to rock star in the supercharged version.

I don’t think it’s a bad looking SUV it’s nice and more importantly it’s a Land Rover. I have had three Land Rovers now, a 95 Defender 90, 03 Discovery, and a 04 Range Rover. All have served me well, I wish we (The Stupid Americans) could get the TD versions here but sadly we will never see one.
